Heading 2
In 2024...
XLCR High School is in the process of establishing a STEM program beginning in Sept '24. XSG and the school have been pushing for this, as it is seen as an essential ingredient that will drive the Science Department towards excellence.

The program will consist of two approaches. Firstly, there will be a STEM approach with four core curriculum classes: Mathematics, General Science, Information Technology (IT) and Industrial Arts. This will begin with two grade 7 classes, which will be taught by STEM trained teachers. Secondly, there will be a STEM Club that will primarily focus on I.T. ie Coding, Robotics etc, with about twenty-five students. These students are identified as ones with long term aspirations for IT careers.

Vector Technologies Institute, headed by past student Dr. Wayde Marr will partner with the school to provide training and support in IT education and direction. To launch this program for the academic year Sept. '24 to June '25, Xcelsior Syndicate Group requires a total of US$30,000 to provide the required resources. These include reading material, design materials (lego, wooden blocks, connection cables etc), chemistry and physics kits, 3D printer, robotic kits, drones and software to name a few.

Consequiently we are reaching out to all our alumni and friends for any assistance in restoring excellence in the sciences and by doing so, elevate the academic standards of our beloved alma mater. In anticipation we The XSG would truly appreciate any contibution to, and assistance in our efforts.

In 2023...
Our group is currently working with the school to introduce a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program into the curriculum during 2023, in a bid to gauge and increase interest in science and technology.

Additionally, we are committed to providing resources for the expansion of the schools Agricultural Science program, with the construction of a greenhouse and plans for further infrastructural expansion.

Another area of planned involvement is in providing resources, specifically for extra lessons in the sciences.
